“My work is a quiet conversation between memory and mood.”
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to creating—to working with my hands, getting lost in process, and finding a sense of stillness through making. Even as a child, I often felt like my thoughts moved a little differently than the world around me. Art gave me a place to land. It was the one space where everything else faded, and I could simply be. It became my language, my outlet, and eventually, my compass.
My paintings are a way of slowing down. I’m always chasing a feeling of stillness, of clarity beneath the noise. My process is about subtraction—removing the unnecessary and trusting what’s left will speak the loudest.

“My process is about subtraction—removing the unecessary and trusting what’s left will speak the loudest.”
My work is grounded in landscape, often coastal scenes inspired by my deep connection to Maine. One of my earliest and most defining memories was a childhood trip to a remote island off the midcoast, where a wild storm gave way to a fog-covered morning that felt otherworldly. That moment of stillness, solitude, and subtle mystery has stayed with me for decades, and it continues to guide the emotional tone of my paintings. I’m drawn to simplicity. It’s what remains when the noise is stripped away that intrests me. My compositions are often quiet, moody, and intentionally pared down. It’s how I organize a world that often feels too loud.
